When apotential overheat temperature is reached, the system willautomatically shut the heater off. It can only resumeoperation when the user resets the unit. For specific resetinstructions please refer to the unit. To Reset the Heater If the unit shuts down:1.Unplug unit.2.Wait 10 minutes for unit to cool down.3.Plug in and operate normally. NOTE:  To shut unit OFF, hold Mode/Off button down for 2seconds. PRE-OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 1.Carefully remove your heater from the box. Pleasesave the carton for off-season storage.2.Place heater on firm level surface.3.Avoid overloading your circuit by not using other high wattage appliances in the same outlet. At 1500 Watts,this unit draws 12.5 Amps. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Your heater is equipped with a technologically advanced1Touch ® electronic thermostat. You can set the heater torun continuously in manual mode or set the 1Touch ® thermostat to your desired temperature setting. The1Touch ® thermostat will automatically turn the heater ONor OFF depending on the preset comfort level. The comfortlevel ranges between 60°F and 80°F. However,if you have to use an extension cord, the cord shall beNo. 14 AWG minimum size and rated not less than1875 watts.17.If the heater will not operate, see specific instructionson Auto Safety Shut-off. Manual Mode Instructions: 1.Plug the heater into a 120V AC electrical outlet.2.To start the unit, push the MODE/OFF button once forthe HIGH (HI) manual setting. (See Figure 1 and 2)3.Press the button again for the LOW (LO) manualsetting. (See Figure 1 and 2)4.To stop the unit, press and hold the button for twoseconds or keep pressing the button until all thetemperature indicators are OFF. NOTE:  The Power Light will remain lit as long as unit isplugged in. 1TOUCH ® THERMOSTAT INSTRUCTIONS  To take advantage of the 1Touch ®  Thermostat continue topress the MODE/OFF button until the desired temperatureis set in either the HIGH or LOW setting. When ambienttemperature rises above the set temperature, the heater will stop. When the ambient temperature drops below theset temperature, the heater will turn on automatically. NOTE: When the 1Touch ® thermostat is set, either the HIGHor LOW power light, and the set temperature light willremain lit during operation. (See Figure 1 and 2) NOTE: It is normal for the heater to cycle ON and OFF asit maintains the preset temperature. To prevent the unitfrom cycling, you need to raise the thermostat setting. NOTE: 1Touch ® has memory. The 1Touch ® thermostat willremember the previous temperature setting after the unithas been turned off. However, if the unit is unplugged, orthe unit is turned off at low power - 80˚F setting, the1Touch ® thermostat will be reset and will no longer rememberthe previous temperature setting. CLEANING/MAINTENANCE ã Always unplug the heater before cleaning.ã Lightly run a vacuum cleaner nozzle over the heater grillto remove any dust or dirt that may have accumulated.ã Carefully wipe the heater with a soft, damp cloth. Pleasebe very cautious near the motor and heating elements.ã NEVER use abrasive or flammable solvents to cleanthe heater.ã After cleaning, be sure to completely dry the heater with a cloth or towel.ã Store your heater in its srcinal carton in a cool, drylocation. TROUBLESHOOTING If your heater fails to operate, unplug theheater and: ã Make sure the electrical outlet and circuit breaker are working.ã Check for obstructions. If you find an obstruction, turnOFF and UNPLUG the heater. Carefully remove theobstruction and follow the reset instructions.ã Make sure the Mode Control is on the Lo or Hi setting.
