Tamala Thomas  –  PLN Reflection https://www.symbaloo.com/mix/frit7734-librarypraci   Creating my PLN was very interesting, challenging and fun at the same time. I used a Symbaloo from a previous class (http://www.symbaloo.com/mix/librarymediacollection) and added a new page just for this class titled frit 7734 library practicum. I moved items from different pages and then I added new items as needed. I found this exciting and got a little carried away and added more resource to this page than needed. I recently learned how to organize topics into one box and had fun doing this also. It makes working with Symbaloo look more organized and professional. I love the way I can organize my pages in Symbaloo and it is easy to add links, websites, articles, web pages and more. I choose Symbaloo also because the home page is already created for you with the most popular links and web searches like Facebook, Yahoo, YouTube and etc. which saves valuable time. The first thing in put on my Symbaloo is the daily motivator at greatday.com because this is how I start each and every day and I want to have this at my disposal always and I wanted to share this website with everyone for its daily positive messages I picked from various types of resource and digital tools that I find useful and important for any Educator, Library Media Specialist or any lifetime learner. I added Quizlet, Prometheanpanet.org and Grammarly.com two great tools that I use regularly for professional and personal use. Iste.org, Edutopia.org, AASL.org and Librarything.org were added for educators and Library Media Specialist. There is so much training information on the web, but I choose a few that I feel is excellent for any lifelong learner. Oercommons.org, Mooc-list.org, Oedb.org and Galileo. The best website of all is webtools4u2use.wikispaces.com because it gives you information on all sorts of tools for different purposes such as, podcast, infographics’ , presentation tools and more. Not only does this site give you information on everything, it gives you a list of the best resource or tools to use for whatever reason. I added tamalajthomas-pro.weebly.com and Teacherspayteachers.com (Tamala’s TeachingTips) because I am proud of the work that I have done so far on my digital portfolio even though it’s a work in progress. I also like to show off that I have added a store on teacherspayteachers.com which I will most definitely be adding to in the future. I think that PLN ’ s such as Symbaloo are great and everyone should have one for professional and personal use. As an future Library Media Specialist or Computer Teacher I am very proud of the Symbaloo I created and I look forward to sharing these resources with peers in the future.   The purpose of this PLN is to gather and collect resources, information, Web tools and etc. that will be beneficial to me and my peers now and in the future as a Computer Teacher or Library Media Specialist. Having an PLN increases my organization and information fluency skills because everything will be strategically planned and placed for convenient access. The most valuable and important website to me is https://webtools4u2use.wikispaces.com. It is a very resourceful website to learn everything you need to know about web 2.0 digital tools and anything on the web from infographics to how to create podcasts. Not only does this site give you information on everything, it gives you a list of the best resource or tools to use for whatever reason. Whenever you need to know something you can refer to this website for a better understanding or to jog prior knowledge and refresh your memory. Anytime you have a question or get stuck on something or just don’t know something, use this website. It is recommended f  or beginners to experts. The many web 2.0 tools and resources that I used for my Personal Learning Network is complete with important resources for the classroom, the Library and for personal use. The purpose of this PLN plan is to gather and collect resources, information, Web tools and etc. that will be beneficial to me and my peers now and in the future as a Computer Teacher or Library Media Specialist organized in one place. This PLN will help my organization and information fluency skills because everything will be strategically located in placed for convenient access.  TamalaThomas  –  Frit 7734 Pln Log   1 2 3 4 Blog Bloglovin Edublog http://www.coolcatteacher.com Ilibratian.net  Social Network www.linkedin.com   community.eflclassroom   https://www.edmodo.com   https://www.integrating-  Podcast #EdChatRadio http://www.ncte.org/journals/la/podcasts internettime.com   https://www.cultofpedagogy.com/pod/ The Cult of Pedagogy Pod Video Series https://youtu.be/H9Ooy_uDUX4   job roles for Librarian https://www.libraryvideocompany https://youtu.be/H9Ooy_uDUX4  21st Century School Libraries https://youtu.be/29Xv_npmS6E  Bill Nye the science guy Websites Edutopia.org AASL.org Librarything.com Iste.org Webinar 10 Ideas for Excellent Inquiry-Based Learning October 3, 2017 Kidsdiscover.com Advancing Audio Conferencing Technology with Shure Webinar Wednesday, October 11, 2017 Training Material Oercommons.org   Mooc-list.org Oedb.org   Georgia Professional Standards  Professional Articles Professional development and school library collections http://www.ala.org/news/press-releases/2012/12/professional-development-and-school-library-collections-research-discussed    The evolution of library and information science 1965  –  1985: A content analysis of journal articles   Motivated to Learn: A Conversation with Daniel Pink
